How do you attack?

Attacking is very simple: just choose a base and click on attack.
However, if you don't want to alert the enemy or have them send reinforcements, you need to follow a few rules.

Rather than attacking directly from your base, move to a nearby mine.
Moving onto a mine has two advantages:

  • It's quicker: you move much faster on a mine than when you move to attack.
  • You only alert your target when the mine leaves, so for a shorter time.

You should also keep an eye on the movement of your target's alliance to check whether it is receiving garrisons.

The frenzy of war

The frenzy of war is a status that is triggered as soon as you perform an attack or espionage.
While it's active, you get a 1% bonus on your damage, but you can't activate a shield.

So be careful with this last point: once you've finished attacking, you'll be vulnerable for 15 minutes!

Defence: being vigilant without a shield

When you no longer have a shield, you are vulnerable to attack.
So you need to be very alert to what's going on around your base and be ready to react in a matter of seconds to avoid being wiped out.

To do this, follow these tips:

Stay in world view

Switch to world view with the display centred on your base, slightly zoomed out.
This way, you can see what's happening around your base.

Analyse lines of movement

In world view, you can see the lines of movement that pass over or near your base.
If this is the case, it could mean that a player is using a mine to move quickly towards your base.

Requesting garrisons

Send your position in the alliance chat and request garrisons.
Up to 5 people can garrison your base while keeping their shield.

Be ready to TP elsewhere

If you are attacked, you will need to flee immediately to avoid being burnt.
There are several ways of doing this, as indicated in the next section.

Flee from danger

If you detect that a commander is heading towards your base, or that you are being directly targeted, it is advisable to flee.
You need to react very quickly if you don't want to get burnt, and move to an isolated area to disappear.

To do this, you have several choices:

TP via the VS

Only on Saturdays during the alliance duel can you TP on your opponent's server via the VS tab.
Click on Alliance Assaults, then on Attack (or Return) and then choose an isolated position.

Please note that TP via VS has a 5-minute cooldown!

TP via Season > Grouping (from season 1)

From season 1 onwards, when access to the other servers is open, you can teleport to any server in your grouping at any time.
Click on Season 1, then Regroup and choose a server then find an isolated position.

Please note that TP via Regroupement has a recharge time of 5 minutes!

You can also use items to teleport elsewhere.
These can be bought in the wedding ring shop or the diamond shop and used by selecting them from your inventory.

Random TP

This will move you to a random location on the server.
Please note, however, that it cannot be used if one of your teams is outside the base.

Alliance TP

This will take you directly to the alliance meeting point.
However, it cannot be used if one of your teams is outside the base.
What's more, it will take you back to the hive, an area where you're likely to be targeted again!

Advanced TP

This lets you choose where to teleport to.
Not recommended, as it will take you a long time to choose the position and costs more.

Rally under shield

Normally, you can't keep a shield and attack at the same time.
However, it is possible to do so by using a rally.

To do this, you need to have 5 players available:

  • one who will no longer have a shield and will launch a rally
  • 4 others with shields who will join the rally.

With this technique, only one member of the alliance is vulnerable during attacks.

Hospital management

When you lose units, some of them end up in the hospital. You can have up to 4 hospitals, whose capacity increases according to their level and technological research.

In combat, you're bound to lose units regularly, and you have to be careful not to exceed the maximum capacity: any wounded units that can't go to hospital are lost!

To do this, you need to heal the wounded in groups of 50 to 100 with the help of the alliance.
You can increase the interval depending on the number of connected members and survivors in your alliance support centre.

Unfortunately, you may suffer losses more quickly than the support provided by your alliance: in this case, you'll need to increase the number of units healed and use heal accelerators.

Tip: units being healed do not count towards the hospital's total capacity.
If you are at maximum capacity, quickly start healing wounded units (without having to finish it) so that they are no longer counted and your hospital's capacity is fully restored.
