Season 2: Polar Storm
Season 2 introduces a new climate system: the outside temperature drops every day, directly affecting troops, buildings and production. To survive, players have to adapt their base to this new icy environment, using thermal buildings, specific research and better energy management.
At the start of the season, the alliance is teleported to a corner of the map aligned as a hive.
The objective will be to capture cities and dig sites to obtain resources and maintain the temperature of the bases to avoid freezing.
Seasonal resources : Titanium alloys & Coal
During Season 2, two new resources become essential to your progress: Titanium Alloy and Coal. These resources are used to build, improve and power buildings specific to the polar environment.
Titanium alloy
Titanium alloy is mainly used to build and improve seasonal buildings such as the High-Temperature Furnace, the Titanium Factory and the Thermal Generator.
What is it used for?
- Construction and upgrading of Season 2 buildings
- Unlocking certain research projects in the Research Centre
- Progress in seasonal objectives
How do I get Titanium Alloy?
- Reward for eliminating a level zombie for the first time
- Completing seasonal quests
- Reward for reaching a higher level in the High-Temperature Furnace
- First daily elimination of a Walker of Doom
- Use of "Return of the Hero" tickets in the Season 2: Return of the Legend event
- First capture of a town or excavation site
Coal
Coal is the main energy resource in polar climates. It is essential for heating your base (via the High-Temperature Furnace) and for constructing and improving certain seasonal buildings.
What is it used for?
- To keep your base warm by heating it
- Build and upgrade season-specific structures
- Activate certain research and temperature optimisation functions
How do I get Coal?
- Reward for eliminating a level zombie for the first time
- Completing seasonal quests
- Capture dig sites, which continuously produce coal for your alliance
- Reward for reaching a new level in the High-Temperature Furnace
- Use of "Return of the Hero" tickets in the Season 2: Return of the Legend event
- Weekly Pass and Seasonal Battle Pass rewards
- Supply collection rewards
- First capture of a town or excavation site
- Participation in the"Polar Dishes" event by feeding Snowflake
New buildings
Titanium alloy plant
Produces titanium, a key resource for upgrading the High Temperature Furnace and unlocking seasonal war buildings.
- Production: Each level increases production by 720 titanium per hour.
- The increase in titanium per hour is the same from level 10 to 11 as it is from level 15 to 16.
- Unlocking: level 15 in one factory unlocks the next; up to 4 factories available, the 5th via the Weekly Pass.
- Maximum level: up to level 30, regardless of the level of your HQ.
High-temperature furnace
Warms the base (base temperature + overdrive) and increases viral resistance (VR). Essential for the smooth running of the season.
- Upgrade: requires titanium, each upgrade increases VR and heat capacity. Up to level 30.
- Control: simple control panel (ON/OFF, overdrive, auto activation in blizzard).
Temporary military buildings (Tank, Aircraft and Missile)
- Unlocking: obtained once the High Temperature Furnace is level 30.
- Effect: offer a damage buff (up to +15% at level 30) for the corresponding type: Tanks, Missiles, or Air. Each level brings a progressive bonus.
- Limited duration: disappear at the end of season 2.
Alliance Furnace
The Alliance Furnace is a building unique to Season 2, which R4/R5 players must deploy on Day 1 of the season for each alliance.
It heats an extended area around its position, providing a stable temperature for all members in the area.
To deploy it, you have to build it, like an outpost. Up to 20 people can take part in its construction.
It is the only permanent collective heat source at the start of the season, before each player develops their own High Temperature Furnace.
It is possible to move the Alliance Furnace at a later date, but this action is reserved for R5/R4 and is expensive in terms of resources.
How it works
- Area of effect: all bases within the radius of the Furnace benefit from a constant warm temperature, regardless of global cold levels or blizzard waves.
- Immediate effect: there's no waiting or construction time - the Furnace is active as soon as it's deployed.
- No personal cost to maintain heating (no need for personal coal).
Construction & upgrades
- The building is deployed automatically by the game.
- It is maintained through coal donations from alliance members.
- You can boost the power or range of the heater by :
- specific alliance research (in the season tech tree),
- manual activation (by R4/R5) during certain periods.
Strategic importance
- Base deployment: All members are strongly advised to place their base around the Alliance Furnace at the start of the season, to limit energy consumption.
- Optimised production: being in the heated zone ensures that production buildings (Titanium Alloy Factory, High Temperature Furnace, etc.) operate at optimum efficiency.
- Winter protection: during blizzards (from the second week of the season), unheated bases can freeze, blocking certain HQ functions. Being close to the Fournaise prevents this.
Temperature Management
Outside temperature: depends on the zone you're in: it gets colder the closer you get to the centre of the map.
It also drops drastically during Snowstorms, lasting 3 hours on a regular basis.
Effects: Temperature affects resource production, team movement speed, healing and unit morale.
Base heating: from -20°C, you need to improve your heating to maintain your operations.
Heat decorations: The Victory Tower offers a temperature bonus.
- +3°C at level 1
- +4°C on level 2
- +5°C at level 3 and above
Snowstorms
Snowstorms are extreme weather events specific to Season 2. When a Snowstorm hits, the temperature plummets, exposing players' bases to the risk of freezing if they fall below -20°.
Build the Alliance Furnace and the High-Temperature Oven as quickly as possible, then activate the automatic ignition during Snowstorms.
For the Alliance Furnace, an R4 or the R5 will have to light it just before the storm.
When a Snowstorm is about to arrive, you'll be informed via a notification in the top left-hand corner of your screen several hours beforehand, indicating the additional drop in temperature.
Snowstorms last for several hours: it's important to always have coal in your inventory so that you can activate the High Temperature Furnace.
Look at your consumption per minute switched on with the overload activated and keep the equivalent of 4 hours.
Confronting cities
- Without sites or towns, an alliance must first capture a level 1 excavation site.
- Unlocking cities :
- Level 1: week 1 day 3 + 12 hours
- Level 2: week 1 day 6 + 12 hours
- Level 3: week 2 day 3 + 12 hours
- Level 4: week 2 day 6 + 12 hours
- Level 5: week 3 day 3 + 12 hours
- Level 6: week 3 day 6 + 12 hours
- Level 7 : week 4 day 7 + 12 hours
- The first capture of a town offers rewards to participants.
- Maximum number of towns and dig sites you can capture: 6 towns and 4 dig sites
- Protection after capture :
- 6 days for a city
- 36 hours for a dig site
- Capturing a city does not increase the maximum number of dig sites that can be captured (4 maximum).
- You can capture up to 2 towns and 2 dig sites per day.
- A failed capture does not count towards the daily trials.
- No inter-server wars: confrontations take place solely within the server, unlike in Season 1.

- Unlocked in week 4.
- Objective: plunder the Rare Soil resource of other alliances through combat.
- Mechanic: The Alliance can steal up to 20% of the enemy's Rare Soil stock, or up to 30% during the Showdown.
- Protection: The Alliance Furnace must be defended to preserve the stockpile.
- Frequency: One-off combat events with a cooldown after each successful or failed attack.
- Strategy: combine espionage via Radar Station and coordinated attacks to avoid losses.
- Inter-zone conflicts: although Season 2 is local, some war zones divide alliances into "Rebel" and "Gendarmerie" camps for this event, creating a competitive dynamic between zones.
- Automatic registration: all active alliances on the map are automatically included in the event.

Tips and tricks
Tips
- Every day in the week leading up to the start of the season, you can collect rewards in "Season overview".
- You must stay together in a hive: this is imperative if you want to benefit from the Alliance Furnace and avoid freezing.
- Get the Throne of Victory decoration at level 3 for the temperature bonus.
- Make one Walk of Fate per day of the maximum possible level to obtain coal.
- Save as many Universal SSR fragments and Violet fragments as you can for the UR upgrade. By using them all at once on a Thursday before the upgrade, you can get a lot of Alliance Duel points.
- Buying the Season Pass (IG purchase) gives you good rewards to get the season off to the best possible start.
- Always keep some coal in your inventory for Blizzard days.
- Like bases with the "Castle of Eternal Frost" decoration to receive a reward.
- Reset skill points (Engineer or Warlord) to redistribute them in the season's abilities.
- Upgrade your buildings with diamonds at the start; this will cost you nothing for the first few levels and will be instantaneous.
Titanium Factory
- Build the first titanium alloy factory and upgrade it to level 15.
- Build a second titanium alloy factory and upgrade it to level 15
- Build the third titanium alloy factory and upgrade it to level 15
- Build the fourth titanium alloy factory and upgrade it to level 15
- Then upgrade all the factories by one level to bring them all to the same level: all to level 16, then all to level 17, and so on...
Notes
- Your base loses a few degrees for a few seconds each time one of your teams leaves.
