Advice

On Saturdays, you are vulnerable not only to attacks from the rival alliance, but also from all the other alliances.
In fact, you earn points by killing units from any alliance, and some of them could take advantage of this to attack you, especially if you are not at a high level.

Protecting yourself

The night before, activate a shield to protect yourself during the night.
You can buy shields in the alliance shop. They last 8, 12 or 24 hours.

It is advisable to take at least 1 24-hour shield + 1 8-hour shield or 2 8-hour shields + 1 12-hour shield.

Attack

Via the alliance duel tab, you can teleport close to the rival alliance.
You have a choice of placement on the server and can also teleport elsewhere to attack other targets.

You can also teleport with your shield and remain protected.

Attacking with others

To attack while limiting the risks, you can teleport with 5 allies, with one person in the role of attacker and the others in defence.
To do this, only one of the commanders attacks while the others keep their shields active and garrison the first one.

Avoiding the backlash

When you attack, you no longer have an active shield, and you can't activate one for 15 minutes.
So it's vital to be vigilant after you've attacked so you don't find yourself defenceless.

To minimise the risks, you can :

  • Ask your allies to garrison your house
  • Take advantage of free TP to go to an isolated location on the map
  • Perform a TP at another position if an opponent is about to attack

Recommendations

Attacking players

  • Follow our Attacking players guide
  • Coordinate with the members of your alliance so that there are not several of you attacking at the same time.
  • Warn your alliance that you are going to attack and share your position so that you have garrisons.
  • You don't have to attack your VS opponent: if he's too strong for you or if all the members are shielded, you can attack another alliance.
  • There's no point razing a base completely if it has no units: look at the reports and if you haven't killed any units, move on to the next one so as not to waste stamina.
  • Before attacking a base, check the player's strength, as this is affected by the number of units he has. For example, a level 30 player with 40M of power already has no more units, so there's no point in attacking him.
  • Players without alliances often have no units left because they've abandoned the game and never recruited soldiers again, so there's no point in attacking them.

Protecting yourself

  • Remove the troops from your wall on Saturdays: if you forget your shield, you will lose fewer troops and give fewer points to your opponents.
  • Don't forget to put up a shield and renew it. Don't wait until it's finished: you can renew it even if you already have one.
  • Engineers: you can unlock the 'Friendly Shield' skill, which at level 3 lets you put a shield on an ally for 4 hours.
  • When you return to your server after attacking, don't go back to the alliance hive, as that's the first place they'll come looking for you! Instead, choose a random position on the map.
